Training presentation

The BPJEPS MAPST (Multi-Activity Physical and Sports Programs for All) trains versatile sports instructors (men and women) capable of designing, leading, and supervising physical activities for all groups (children, teens, adults, seniors, people with disabilities, and anyone with specific needs).

The program covers three main areas of focus: fitness activities, physical activities and sports games, and physical activities in natural settings.

Graduates are able to lead introductory, exploratory, and recreational activities for educational, health, wellness, or social integration purposes, while also participating in the management and development of their organization.

Thanks to its broad range of skills, the BPJEPS MAPST offers numerous career opportunities within local governments, nonprofit organizations, recreational or tourism organizations, as well as the possibility of working as a self-employed professional.

The program runs from September 7, 2026, to August 6, 2027, on a full-time basis (35 hours per week), for a total of 1,350 hours.

Débouchés professionnels

Holders of the BPJEPS MAPST certification can work as versatile sports instructors in sports associations, local governments, clubs, and recreational, tourism, or vacation facilities, as well as in schools and after-school programs. They may also pursue a career as a self-employed professional.

This degree qualifies graduates to obtain the professional sports instructor license, which is required to work for pay.

Upon completion of the program, graduates can enter the workforce directly, prepare for the competitive exam to become a Local Physical and Sports Activities Instructor (ETAPS), or continue their studies toward a DEJEPS, admission to a STAPS program, or an additional specialization.

Modalités d'admission

  1. Fill out the program registration form and verify that you meet the prerequisites;

  2. Following a phone call, Kabubu will provide you with a registration packet in person or by email;

  3. This packet must be completed and returned in full at least two weeks before the start of the training;

  4. At the end of this initial stage of the application process, if the number of applicants exceeds the maximum capacity, selection tests will be administered.

These tests will be conducted, if necessary, as follows:

  • Test 1: Oral comprehension and written summary test. This test assesses candidates’ understanding of spoken French, writing skills, note-taking abilities, and the ability to organize ideas.

  • Test 2: Leading a physical activity session. Each candidate will lead a 20-minute session on an activity of their choice (from one of the three activity categories), with the goal of “introducing the chosen activity to an adult beginner audience.” The other candidates act as the audience. This test assesses professional demeanor, facilitation skills, and technical fundamentals in the chosen discipline.

  • Test 3: Motivational Interview. An individual interview (30 minutes max) provides an opportunity to discuss the candidate’s background, motivations, social and administrative circumstances, as well as their athletic history.

  Applications are now being accepted and will close on July 31, 2026.
