What is Water Cycles ?
Water Cycles is a part-time introductory program to the nation and skills training (Tuesday evenings from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) that aims to train 10 local and exiled participants in the profession of lifeguard and aquatic rescuer through training in the BSB (Lifeguard Certificate), PSE1 (First Aid in Teams Level 1) and BNSSA (National Aquatic Safety and Rescue Certificate)

Why Water Cycles ?
Because it helps refugees, new arrivals, and French people who are far from employment to integrate socially and professionally. Thanks to its diversity and dynamism, the Île-de-France region stands out for its high demand in aquatic professions, particularly swimming. Swimming remains the fastest-growing sport, with a 22% increase in licensees between 2017 and 2022. In addition, 81.5% of the region's inhabitants say they participate in regular sports activities, according to INSEE, placing the region second in terms of sports participation in France. Each year, around 7,000 BNSSA diplomas are awarded in France, but demand remains well above supply. By bringing together these different aspects, “Les cycles de l'eau ïle de France” not only meets recruitment needs in a sector under pressure, but also promotes sustainable social and professional integration for people who are often distant from the labor market.

THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINING
A theoretical training course leading to the Lifeguard Certificate (BSB) and the National Water Safety and Rescue Certificate (BNSSA), which includes: - 100 hours of theoretical and practical lessons in an aquatic environment
LINGUISTIC SUPPORT
Support in French with 32 hours of professional French lessons, including preparation for the final BNSSA certification exam.
SOCIO-PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT MADE TO MEASURE
- Over 10 hours of professional support per participant: skills assessment, public speaking, internship search, etc. - Personalized follow-up with participants to help them achieve their professional goals - Organization of events aimed at promoting inclusion and social bonding, as well as networking with professionals in the sports sector and the lifeguarding profession.

What are the career prospects for this course ?
The BSB is a diploma issued by the French Lifesaving and First Aid Federation and allows the holder to be qualified as a lifeguard. It gives the holder the right to organize and supervise swimming in collective childcare facilities (A.C.M.). Holders of the National Water Safety and Rescue Certificate (BNSSA) are qualified to be water rescuers. Career opportunities include : - Lifeguard at public or private swimming pools and beaches - Assistant lifeguard - Assistant swimming instructor in supervision - Further training to obtain the BPEJPS AAN (Aquatic Activities and Swimming) qualification to become a lifeguard
